Welcome to 33HERITAGE

I’m Amanda Steward,

a certified practitioner dedicated to the remedies right in front of us.

**Rooted in Nature, Grounded in Family**

If you walked into my house on a day when I’m fighting a cold, you might find me sleeping with onions in my socks. My husband might not find it the most romantic gesture, but when I wake up free and clear the next morning, he can’t argue with the results. It’s safe to use on my children as well. Whether it’s garlic for congestion or a honey-onion syrup for a cough, I’ve always been someone who looks for the remedy right in front of me.

**Where it Started**

Even before I was 16, I was a "nature kid." My sanctuary was a large willow tree in the backyard in Copake, New York, just a few feet from the Roeliff Jansen Kill River. I’d sit under those branches for hours, weaving picture frames with the branches of that beautiful willow and decorating them with flowers and random leaves I found along the river. Back then, I just thought they were beautiful; today, having the knowledge of what those specific flowers and leaves can actually do for our bodies, I realize my path was being rooted long before I knew it.

At 16, I was gifted a book about the "top ten beauty secrets" that mentioned charcoal for whitening teeth. It blew my mind. Now, at 41, charcoal toothpaste is everywhere. That curiosity never left me. It taught me to look deeper at the "weeds" in the yard and the salad on my plate, always asking: *What else around me is natural and useful?*

**The "Nasty" Syrup and the Doctor’s Nod**

I’ve always used my family as my first "patients." I remember taking my daughter to the doctor when she was about five. She looked at the doctor and complained, "It tastes so nasty! My mom makes me take this onion syrup, I hate it!"

I’ll never forget the doctor’s response. He looked at her and said, "Well, that’s good to hear. Do you have any idea what’s in these over-the-counter medicines these days?" That was a turning point. My daughter doesn't mind the onion honey so much anymore, and I realized that being a herbalist is about providing a clean, powerful alternative to the synthetic world.

**Why 33HERITAGE?**

The "Heritage" in the name comes from a deep respect for those who came before us. One day, while making a batch of bone broth, I started thinking about the "nose-to-tail" philosophy of our ancestors. They didn't waste anything. They made tools from bones and nourishment from the meat, but I wondered—*what did they do with the fat?*

That curiosity led me to Tallow. It is a beautiful, traditional skin superfood that mimics our own skin’s biology. It’s why I use it as the base for my balms. Combined with the "strong force" of essential oils, it’s a tiny can that packs a huge punch.

**I Am Qualified to Listen**

While I have my certifications as a **Holistic Practitioner**, **Naturopathic Practitioner**, and **Herbalist**, I’m not here to just hand you a jar and send you on your way. I’m not opening a clinical office yet, but I am opening my ears.

Sometimes a rash or a skin condition is just a physical sign of the stress we’re carrying. I am a qualified listener. I want to hear what’s going on in your life, because sometimes the best "herbal concoction" starts with being heard. I would be more than grateful to make a small difference in your world by sharing what Mother Nature has provided.

**Welcome to 33HERITAGE. It’s been right in

front of us all along.**

The candles are amazing! They burn evenly and fill my home with a lovely scent.
